BUTTERFLY VALVES

The butterfly valve is ¼ turn and controls the circulation by means of a circular disc, with the axis of its orifice at right angles to the direction of circulation.

Recommended for:

Service with full opening or full closing.
Strangled service.
For frequent actuation.
When positive cut-off is required for gases or liquids.
When only minimal trapped fluid is allowed in the pipe.
For low pressure drop across the valve.

Applications: General service, liquids, gases, semi-liquid pastes, liquids with suspended solids.
