GLOBE VALVES

A globe valve is multi-turn, in which the closure is achieved by means of a disk or plug that closes or cuts the flow of fluid in a seat that is usually parallel with the flow in the pipeline.

Recommended for:

  • For throttle or regulation
  • For frequent use
  • For effective gas or air shutoff
  • For systems where a certain resistance to circulation is acceptable.

Applications: For general use, gas, liquids, steam, corrosive and pasty fluids.

GATE VALVES

The gate valve is multi-turn, in which the orifice is closed with a vertical flat-faced disc that slides at right angles over the seat.

Recommended for:

  • For infrequent drives
  • To completely stop or resume walking
  • For services with minimal resistance to movement

Applications: Generalized use, although they stand out in services with oils and petroleum, gas, air, pasty or thick fluids, gases and liquids without condensation, highly corrosive liquids.
